Explore, Tour, Reassure sessions
Our ExTra sessions run on the first and third week of every month:
- Wednesday 5th February at 5pm
- Wednesday 19th February at 5pm
At Northampton General Hospital Oncology Reception (Area N).
These sessions are open to patients from anywhere in they are due to have treatment at Northampton General Hospital.

The ‘ExTRa’, Explore, Tour, and Reassure session is an information workshop before you start cancer treatment.
This workshop can be helpful to see where treatment is given and know of the wider information and resources available to you.
You are welcome to bring a guest with you.
During the session you will have the opportunity to:
- Visit the oncology centre, where Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy treatments are given.
- Meet others facing cancer treatment.
- Visit the Macmillan Information Centre and staff at NGH – know where to go to find the information you need, when you need it.
- Meet some of our cancer team, Radiographers, information and support, Patient Engagement Team, Macmillan Citizens Advice Team & Northamptonshire Carers.
Our next ExTRa session will be on Wednesday 5th February at 5pm and the one after is Wednesday 19th February at 5pm both at Northampton General Hospital Oncology Reception (area N)
